Job summary

New Relic is hiring a Solutions Architect to lead technical evaluations, design observability strategies, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams. You will visit customers and deliver value through hands-on guidance, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and platform adoption.

You will translate customer needs into architectural designs, build reference architectures, and contribute to thought leadership through blogs and talks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• 4+ years of professional experience developing in Java, Python, or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry and OSS such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with observability platforms (New Relic, Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog, etc.).
• Understanding of SLI/SLO measurement approaches.
• Experience with DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering service delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless.
• Strong presentation and communication skills at technical and executive levels.
• Ability to map business requirements to observability capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations via POC/POV and SA workshops with sales and product teams.
• Regularly visit customer offices to align with objectives.
• Build relationships to drive large Net ACR deals and platform usage.
• Accelerate transformation and observability maturity for customers.
• Engage with customers on-site or remotely in a technical advisory role during sales cycles.
• Document current and desired state of observability and design gap-addressing solutions.
• Map customer outcomes to required observability capabilities.
• Develop reference architectures, technical blogs, conference materials, and a field resource repository.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and mentorship.
