Job summary

Cogent Communications in Denver seeks a results-driven sales professional to identify and close new business within a regional territory. You will prospect by phone and email, conduct field activities, and present connectivity solutions to mid-market and large accounts.

The role is in-office five days a week, with compensation opportunities ranging from $40,000 to $100,000 based on tenure and performance. Strong communication and CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience is required.
• Ability to identify, qualify and generate new business opportunities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment with revenue goals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a CRM is a plus.
• College degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within prescribed regional sales territory.
• Prospect via direct calling, email and other efforts to qualify and generate opportunities.
• Compliment prospecting with field activities and in-person meetings.
• Position Cogent services to prospective customers and partners.
• Achieve monthly revenue goals by selling to large commercial buildings and campuses.
