Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the company-wide health and safety program, ensuring practical, compliant safety practices across locations and projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership, field teams, and clients to maintain a robust safety culture. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in occupational health and safety, strong regulatory knowledge, and experience guiding senior leaders on risk-based decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field required.
• Applicable Certificates and designations for area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESi's health and safety program across all locations; oversee IIPP and OSHA compliance.
• Provide safety leadership and direction balancing compliance, risk, client expectations, and business needs.
• Serve as main safety contact for questions; support leadership and project teams on client, regulatory, and firm requirements.
• Provide guidance, training, and coaching to Site Safety Coordinators nationwide.
• Review and develop safety practices and procedures; implement safety orientation and training.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and ESi standards.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical safety practices for field work and client service.
• Ensure OSHA recordkeeping and reporting completion.
