Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. in Chelsea, Alabama is seeking an Account Manager to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.

You will be the primary contact, respond to inquiries, and manage quotes and orders with a focus on accuracy and timely service. The role requires an Associates or BS in sales or related field and at least one year of sales experience; metals experience and strong computer skills (MS Office, MRP/ERP) are preferred.

Qualifications

An Associates or BS in sales, business management or related field required.
Minimum one year of demonstrated sales experience; metals experience preferred.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MRP/ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

Be a knowledgeable resource to the customer by asking the right questions to complete an accurate quote and offer superior solutions.
Establish and maintain business relationships with each customer.
Primary contact for clients and customers.
Promptly respond to customer inquiries and accurately enter orders.
Track quotes on a day-to-day basis including aluminum, heavy duty steel, and other requests.
Ensure specifications and details are complete on all quotes.
Pricing authority on quotes up to a pre-approved limit and review others with sales management.
Keep management aware of lost business on a weekly basis.
Enter and maintain client information files in the system.
Make order changes as needed to service the customer’s needs.
Other duties as assigned.
