Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. in Canton, OH is seeking an Account Manager to maintain and grow relationships with our customer base. You will handle inquiries, enter orders, and prepare quotes for aluminum, steel, and custom requests.

The role requires at least an associate degree and one year of sales experience; experience with metals, MRP/ERP, and Microsoft Office is preferred. You will work in a team-oriented, faith-based environment.

Qualifications

• Associates or BS in sales, business management or related field required.
• Minimum of one year of demonstrated sales experience.
• Experience with metals preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with PERT/GANT charts and MRP/ERP systems.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Be a knowledgeable resource by asking questions to prepare accurate quotes.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with each customer.
• Serve as primary contact for clients and customers.
• Promptly respond to inquiries and enter orders accurately.
• Track quotes on aluminum, heavy-duty steel, and special requests.
• Ensure specifications on quotes are complete and within limits.
• Manage pricing authority for quotes up to pre-approved limits.
• Notify management about lost business weekly.
• Maintain client information in the system.
• Make order changes to meet customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customer base. This will include supporting existing business, introducing customers to new services and product offerings, and continuing to develop new leads.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a knowledgeable resource to the customer by asking the right and necessary questions, obtaining pertinent information in order to complete an accurate and competitive quote, and offer superior solutions to customers.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with each customer.
• Primary contact for clients and customers.
• Promptly respond to customer inquiries and accurately enter orders.
• Track-specific quotes on a day-to-day basis including aluminum, heavy duty steel, and other special requests.
• Assure specifications and details are complete on all quotes.
• Pricing authority on quotes up to pre-approved limit and review those over the amount with sales management.
• Keep management aware of lost business on weekly basis.
• Enter and maintain client information files in the computer system.
• Make order changes as needed to service the customer’s needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE ANDPROFICIENCIES: An Associates or BS in sales, business management or related field required and a minimum of one year of demonstrated sales experience. Experience with metals preferred. Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) suite of applications, Pert/GANT charts, and MRP/ERP system experience. Must be able to establish and maintain a strong rapport and positive relationship with all levels. Must have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and team building skills, as well as outstanding organizational and planning abilities; must also possess a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and follow-up with a sense of urgency.
