Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. in Chelsea, Alabama is seeking an Account Manager to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.

You will be the primary contact, respond to inquiries, and manage quotes and orders with a focus on accuracy and timely service. The role requires an Associates or BS in sales or related field and at least one year of sales experience; metals experience and strong computer skills (MS Office, MRP/ERP) are preferred.

Qualifications

• An Associates or BS in sales, business management or related field required.
• Minimum one year of demonstrated sales experience; metals experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MRP/ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a knowledgeable resource to the customer by asking the right questions to complete an accurate quote and offer superior solutions.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with each customer.
• Primary contact for clients and customers.
• Promptly respond to customer inquiries and accurately enter orders.
• Track quotes on a day-to-day basis including aluminum, heavy duty steel, and other requests.
• Ensure specifications and details are complete on all quotes.
• Pricing authority on quotes up to a pre-approved limit and review others with sales management.
• Keep management aware of lost business on a weekly basis.
• Enter and maintain client information files in the system.
• Make order changes as needed to service the customer’s needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customer base. This will include supporting existing business, introducing customers to new services and product offerings, and continuing to develop new leads.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE ANDPROFICIENCIES: An Associates or BS in sales, business management or related field required and a minimum of one year of demonstrated sales experience. Experience with metals preferred. Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) suite of applications, Pert/GANT charts, and MRP/ERP system experience. Must be able to establish and maintain a strong rapport and positive relationship with all levels. Must have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and team building skills, as well as outstanding organizational and planning abilities; must also possess a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and follow‑up with a sense of urgency.
