Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Business Development Manager in Troy, MI to contact prospective customers and sell JB Hunt solutions. You will define opportunities, onboard new clients, and align internal teams to drive customer success and mature accounts.

The role focuses on designing strategies to win business, coordinating implementation, and transitioning accounts to management for ongoing growth. Travel to local sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2–3 years Sales/Account Management experience; NA Truckload experience with at least 1 year.
• Willingness to travel to local customer sites with occasional overnight travel.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean MVR per J.B. Hunt standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through lead generation activities, cold calling, networking and other prospecting methods to convert new business.
• Meet with prospective customers to discuss opportunities, assess needs, develop strategy, submit a proposal, finalize the contract and win the business.
• Develop account strategy for maintenance and growth; create a future opportunities roadmap for ongoing management.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to implement the solution, including kick-off and implementation planning.
• Set expectations during implementation for internal resources, review KPIs, and monitor revenue and terms.
