The ideal candidate holds a CPA, 8–12+ years of accounting experience, and a track record in SEC reporting, with strong technical writing and executive communication skills. Remote flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 5 years of SEC-reporting experience within a publicly traded company.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, Regulation S‑X, Regulation S‑K, and public-company disclosure requirements.
• Experience with PCAOB audits, SOX 302/404, and internal controls over financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements, and related financial disclosures.
• Serve as the primary technical accounting resource for U.S. GAAP and complex or non-routine accounting transactions.
• Research accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting management's conclusions.
• Monitor new FASB and SEC guidance and lead the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Provide accounting guidance on acquisitions, divestitures, equity transactions, convertible debt, stock-based compensation, leases, derivatives, and revenue recognition.
• Partner with external auditors on quarterly reviews, annual audits, and technical accounting matters.
• Support SOX compliance and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Investor Relations on accounting and reporting matters.
• Supervise and mentor a Senior Technical Accountant while developing technical accounting capabilities across the organization.
