Zusammenfassung

Townsquare Media is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to own external reporting and technical accounting from a remote location in the United States. You will collaborate with internal teams and lead SEC filings such as 10-K/10-Q/8-K, including MD&A and footnotes.

The role requires CPA, Big 4 or national firm experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. You will oversee XBRL tagging, disclosures, and lender reporting, while guiding SOX processes and control design.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting; SEC reporting experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and own SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related financial statements and MD&A.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations on earnings releases and non-GAAP reconciliations.
• Support proxy statements and Section 16 filings as needed.
• Stay current on SEC/FASB developments and assess impact on reporting.
• Own the SEC reporting process, including SOX narrative and internal controls.
• Oversee inline XBRL tagging and disclosure checklists.
• Complete quarterly and annual lender reporting; ensure covenant compliance.
• Lead accounting standard applications (ASC 606, 350, 805, 842, 280).
• Prepare technical memos and review position papers; mentor staff.
• Collaborate with Tax on ASC 740 disclosures; coordinate with Finance/HR/Legal on equity award records.
• Drive process improvements and automation in reporting and close tasks.
