Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting in a permanent, remote-capable role within the energy sector. You will oversee SEC filings, lead technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, and ensure SOX compliance.

The position emphasizes strategic planning, M&A activity support, and efficient financial systems management. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 8+ years in the field; a Master's or CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of FASB, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with audited financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q).
• Experience with M&A activities and external reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K/10-Q).
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions (M&A, stock-based compensation, lease accounting).
• Ensure compliance with FASB, SEC, Nasdaq, and SOX requirements.
• Manage external audit process and liaise with auditors.
• Lead implementation/maintenance of accounting systems (NetSuite, BlackLine).
• Research new accounting standards and prepare memorandums.
• Prepare and review XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes.
• Mentor and lead accounting professionals to foster improvement.
