Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency seeks a Senior Client Manager in Portland, OR to act as the primary strategic partner with the sales team on key accounts, driving retention and growth. The role emphasizes high emotional intelligence, client management expertise, and proactive risk insights for large commercial accounts.

You’ll manage day-to-day relationships, produce proposals and reports, collaborate on coverage analysis, and maintain accurate client data in our agency system.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of risks with large commercial accounts.
• At least 5 years of commercial industry and product line experience in P&C insurance brokerage.
• CPCU or CIC designations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day client relationships and accounts; provide high-level service, coverage commentary, analytics, market feedback, and guidance on claims and risk control.
• Coordinate and produce insurance proposals, stewardship reports, analytics/benchmarking, market commentary; assist sales on calls and client meetings; review submissions.
• Provide coverage analysis and recommendations with colleagues; ensure accurate client records in the agency management system.
• Update customer information and maintain up-to-date records; stay organized and accurate at all levels.
• Identify and pursue up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with colleagues.
• Deliver excellent customer service with the sales and service team.
• Follow policies, maintain documentation, confidentiality, and advocacy for clients.
