Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Systems Business Development Manager to drive national accounts in the data centers vertical, focusing on HVAC system solutions and strategic growth. This remote role collaborates with sales offices, reps, and marketing to expand opportunities and win major accounts.

You will manage pipelines, coach field teams, participate in events, and align with leadership to set growth priorities for global and national accounts, with 25–30% US travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering) required.
• 5+ years of related experience in HVAC sales.
• Data Center experience a plus; knowledge of HVAC Wholesale Distribution and Servicing contractor industries highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; strong customer service, organizational, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the data center market to determine HVAC opportunities.
• Support and drive solutions, offerings and programs for vertical market growth.
• Work with Sales offices and Reps to grow national accounts.
• Manage pipeline in Salesforce and participate in reviews with vertical market team.
• Identify and qualify potential National Accounts using established criteria.
• Coordinate with National Accounts team to maintain regular reviews and program adherence.
• Support training and coaching of field in vertical market offerings and solutions.
• Represent Daikin brand at key marketing events and collaborate with marketing for speaker events/publications.
• Interact with senior leaders to set strategic growth initiatives for global and national accounts.
