Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. You will set strategy, drive growth, and lead cross-functional efforts to deliver profitable results while managing key executive relationships.

Remote role with 50% travel; candidates should have extensive HVAC sales experience and a proven record of leading high‑performing teams. You will report to the VP of National Accounts and guide complex solution delivery across

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years of people leadership experience.
History of leading high-performing sales teams through rapid growth in the data center sector.
Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.
5+ Years of related experience in HVAC sales.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including market characteristics, segmentation, trends, and growth potential.
Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy for Data Center vertical market; provide updates to senior leadership; gather field and customer feedback; plan short/long term growth.
Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate Data Center team professionalism; improve customer experience; scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and Rep leadership.
Stakeholder Coordination: lead implementation of vertical market strategy with internal customers including supply chain, manufacturing, service ops and product development.
Marketing: collaborate with marketing on materials, trade shows, and visibility; identify speaking events and publishing opportunities.
Team Management: lead a team of Data Center experts; grow pipeline; recruit and train headcount; enforce performance management and career development.
