Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to provide expert HR support to assigned business units, including employee relations, policy interpretation, and talent acquisition. This role requires emotional intelligence and the ability to move between functional areas to anticipate HR needs and meet deadlines.

You will serve as a mentor within HR, delivering training, advising management, and collaborating across HR teams to improve retention, engagement, and compliance with labor laws.

Qualifications

• Four years of HR experience with at least three years in employee relations, organizational consulting, recruitment, compensation, and/or benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Participates in employee relations to include conflict resolution, coaching, and interviews with managers and staff.
• Collaborates with HR leadership on policy interpretation, procedures, and change management initiatives.
• Supports workforce planning and staffing by partnering with recruitment and management to remove barriers to filling positions.
• Delivers training on orientation, management education, and supervisor skills development; identifies opportunities to improve management skills.
• Interprets HR policy and prepares data-driven recommendations to improve HR metrics.
