Job summary

Southwest Accessory Group in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our multi-site operations. This hands-on role serves employees and leaders, ensuring consistent application of HR programs, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.

You will partner with distribution center leadership, sales, corporate teams, and payroll to deliver a strong employee experience while supporting operational performance. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years HR Generalist experience across multi-site operations.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA and employment-law compliance.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication with an employee-centered approach.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling is a plus.
• PHR, SHRM-CP or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for policy, attendance, leave, performance, and employee relations.
• Partner with leaders to address performance concerns and conduct investigations.
• Guide managers through corrective action and separations with HR leadership.
• Support onboarding, changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding in Rippling.
• Assist with leave administration (FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp, state leaves).
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multi-state ops.
• Support performance reviews, engagement, recognition, and leadership development.
• Maintain personnel records and HR reports; ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on onboarding and staffing needs.
• Travel periodically to distribution centers to support leaders and employees.
