Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is hiring an Operational Account Manager, Freight Operations in Austin, TX. The role supports freight brokerage operations, develops relationships with customers and grows branch house accounts, while coordinating communication across teams to ensure excellent service.

The position requires strong negotiation, pricing analysis, and proficiency with TMS and MS Office. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics or transportation brokerage; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains customer relationships via phone, email, and in person.
• Negotiates with carriers to obtain rates and determine services.
• Researches growth opportunities within house accounts.
• Identifies and develops new customer leads and opportunities.
• Assesses customer requests to provide best service and pricing options.
• Monitors shipment status from pickup to delivery and communicates updates.
• Uses TMS to input data for planning and scheduling.
