Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Lancaster, TX seeks an Operational Account Manager, Freight Operations, Road US to support freight brokerage operations.

You will build relationships with customers, manage house accounts, and pursue growth opportunities while coordinating with carriers and the Carrier Sales team. The role requires 3 years of logistics experience, proficiency in MS Office and Excel, and strong negotiation and pricing skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or related field required, 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).

Responsibilities

• Develop overall customer relationships via phone, email, and in person.
• Negotiate with transportation carriers and providers to obtain and set rates and determine available services.
• Research and identify growth opportunities within the branch’s house accounts.
• Investigate, act on, and establish new customer leads and opportunities.
• Examine customer requests to provide the best service options and pricing.
• Proactively handle customer shipment requests.
• Utilize our TMS system and provide data input to facilitate material movement, planning, and scheduling.
• Provide direction and set pricing guidelines for the Carrier Sales team.
• Monitor shipment tracking from pickup through delivery and communicate accurate information to the customer and/or Key Account Manager.
• Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through close communication with Carrier Sales team.
• Track and trace shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is provided to customers.
• Prepare spend reports as needed and hold regular check‑ins via QBR or MBR with the customer.
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, and project work as assigned by manager.
