Job summary

DSV in Lancaster, TX is seeking an Operational Account Manager, Freight Operations to support the Road US freight brokerage team. You will develop house accounts and nurture relationships with customers, while pursuing new growth and coordinating with carriers to optimize pricing and services.

The role requires 3 years of logistics experience (5+ preferred), proficiency in MS Office, and strong Excel analytics.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; a college degree in business/admin/logistics is preferred.
3 years’ logistics or transportation brokerage experience; 5+ years preferred.
Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical skills in Excel and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain customer relationships via phone, email, and in person.
Negotiate with carriers to obtain rates and service options.
Identify growth opportunities within branch house accounts.
Manage new leads and customer opportunities; respond to requests with best options.
Provide pricing guidelines and monitor shipment progress from pickup to delivery.
Utilize TMS to input data and coordinate planning and scheduling.
Ensure customer expectations are met through communication with Carrier Sales.
Generate spend reports and conduct regular check-ins with customers.
