Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to own the operating model, planning cadence, and spend discipline. You will partner with functional leaders, support executive-level reporting, and drive the annual budget and long-range plan.

You will combine finance expertise with strategic insight to evaluate new opportunities, monitor CAC/LTV, and translate numbers into clear business decisions for the CFO and founders. Remote-friendly with a strong US footprint.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining 2+ years at a reputable investment bank or corporate development with 2+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a similar quantitative field.
• Strong financial modeling skills: driver-based operating models, three-statement mechanics, scenario and sensitivity analysis, GAAP.
• Experience with unit economics in a consumer or marketplace business, incl. CAC, LTV, payback, cohort retention, and contribution margin.
• Track record translating complex analysis into a clear executive narrative for a board or investor audience.
• Startup or high-growth experience; building financial processes from scratch.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools for analysis, research, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the driver-based operating model and forecast cycle; manage planning cadence and assumptions.
• Run the annual budget and long-range planning process end to end; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Own monthly/quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis; explain movements and forecast implications.
• Write executive narratives translating results into business insights for the CFO, founders, board, and investors.
• Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders to inform decisions.
• Support planning-system evaluation, make recommendations, and own rollout.
