Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer in California to sell and support the company’s analytical instrument portfolio, including GC/HPLC, GCMS/LCMS, and spectroscopy. You will build long-term customer relationships and drive growth across Pharma, Chemical, Semiconductor, and other sectors.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, technical presentations, and collaboration with field specialists to deliver tailored solutions while meeting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 3+ years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments (GC/HPLC, GCMS/LCMS, spectroscopy).
• Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation and clear communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight.

Responsabilités

• Identify and prioritize new client opportunities and grow accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and provide product guidance.
• Deliver technical presentations and represent Shimadzu at trade shows.
• Coordinate with field specialists to deliver technical solutions.
• Generate quotes, negotiate terms, and manage the closing process.
