Job summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a highly motivated Field Sales Engineer to join our team in the Sacramento area. You will sell and support Shimadzu's analytical instrument portfolio, building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for strategic growth.

You will serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, delivering technical guidance and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure a top-tier customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science; Chemistry preferred.
• 3+ years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments.
• Experience with chromatography (GC/HPLC), MS (GCMS/LCMS), spectroscopy, or related tech.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• CRM experience and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Sell and support Shimadzu's analytical instrument portfolio.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Provide sales leadership and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and manage the closing process.
• Travel as required to support accounts and events.
