Job summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer I to support its analytical instrument portfolio in Portland, OR area. You will build long-term customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

The role requires a life science degree, 3+ years of sales in analytical instruments, and strong knowledge of GC, HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, and spectroscopy. A company car and travel up to 50% are included.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in life science; Chemistry strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments.
Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation and ability to communicate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow accounts.
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue goals and maintain a robust pipeline.
Provide consultative support, deliver technical presentations, and represent Shimadzu at events.
Coordinate with field specialists to deliver technical solutions and close deals.
