Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager II to drive customer success and act as a trusted advisor for top clients in Commerce, Transportation, and Manufacturing.

You will guide programs from concept to implementation, shaping architecture and adoption with a focus on outcomes. You will lead a cross‑functional team, collaborate with sales, and develop account strategies while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and strong program delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of customer‑facing experience in a consulting/solutions role
• Strong grasp of the consulting lifecycle to drive customer success
• Experience delivering large technical programs end-to-end
• Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, and core internet technologies
• Understanding of information security fundamentals and threat landscape
• Familiarity with compute technologies and cloud-based architectures
• Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment

Responsibilities

• Own customer success and act as trusted advisor to achieve outcomes with Akamai solutions
• Research and assess to guide customer architecture and adoption decisions
• Architect and manage web performance, cloud computing and security solutions
• Define account strategy, build relationships, and manage a project pipeline
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering empowerment and collaboration
• Collaborate with sales and pre‑sales to expand service usage
