Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager II to lead customer success initiatives for major retailers, transportation and manufacturing clients. You will guide architecture discussions, drive large technical programs, and mentor cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will collaborate with sales and pre‑sales to expand service adoption, leverage cloud and web performance know‑how, and ensure secure, scalable digital experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing role and consulting process understanding
• Experience delivering large technical programs
• Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, and core internet technologies (DNS, TLS, HTTP)
• Familiarity with compute technologies and cloud-based systems
• Team player with ability to work independently and in a remote team

Responsibilities

• Own customer success and be the trusted advisor helping customers achieve outcomes using Akamai solutions
• Perform research and assessments to identify trends and influence architecture and adoption decisions
• Architect and manage web performance, cloud computing and security solutions
• Define an account strategy, establish relationships and build a project pipeline
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering empowerment and collaboration
• Partner with sales and pre-sales to expand the use of services and solutions
