Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engagement Manager II to own customer success and act as the trusted advisor, guiding major retailers and enterprise clients through successful outcomes using Akamai solutions.

You will lead research, assessments, and architecture decisions, while managing a cross-functional team across remote settings. The role emphasizes strategic account planning and collaboration with sales to expand service adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing role and understanding of the consulting process
• Experience delivering large technical programs
• Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, DNS, TLS, and HTTP
• Knowledge of information security fundamentals and protecting data
• Experience designing and managing cloud-based systems
• Strong collaboration and ability to work with remote teams

Responsibilities

• Owning customer success and being the trusted advisor that helps customers achieve their desired outcomes using Akamai solutions
• Performing research and conducting assessments to identify trends and provide guidance that influences customer architecture and adoption decisions
• Architecting and managing web performance, cloud computing and security solutions
• Defining an account strategy, establishing key relationships, and building and maintaining a project pipeline
• Leading and mentoring a cross functional team, cultivating a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and excellence
• Partnering with sales and pre-sales to help expand the use of services and solutions
