Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Employee Relations Partner to provide tactical HR consultation to managers and employees, resolving issues and guiding investigations in compliance with policies and laws. The role analyzes data to monitor trends and minimize legal risk.

The position collaborates with Legal, HRBPs, and COEs to deliver high-quality HR support, including performance management and compliance with union provisions where applicable. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational management, law or equivalent major; or, additional four years of required experience.
• Five years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite; intermediate.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; intermediate.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans and conducting fair, neutral investigations per policies and laws.
• Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
• Provide policy interpretation to supervisors and managers on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Collaborate with Operational Management/Business HR/Labor Relations/Legal to resolve complex Employee Relations scenarios.
