Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to provide tactical HR guidance to managers and employees, conduct investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on resolving employee issues, advising on disciplinary actions, and partnering with Legal and HRBPs to minimize legal risk.

The position emphasizes data analysis to identify ER trends and proactive risk management, supporting Operational Management and COEs with effective solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational management, law or equivalent major; or, additional four (4) years of required experience.
• Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite. Intermediate.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations.
• Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
• Manage employee relations matters by providing supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with Operational Management/Business HR/ Labor Relations/Legal Teams and other SMEs to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality Human Resources support for the company through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses/provisions within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
