Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Employee Relations Partner to provide tactical HR guidance to managers and employees. You will conduct investigations, interpret policies, and resolve conflicts while mitigating legal risk. Collaboration with Legal, Labor Relations, and COEs is essential to drive compliant solutions.

Travel to company sites is required; strong communication and data analysis skills will help monitor trends and improve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational management, law or equivalent major; or, additional four (4) years of required experience.
• Five (5) years or more in in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations, Required
• Proficiency in MS Office suite. Intermediate, Required
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Intermediate, Required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations.
• Manage employee relations matters by providing supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with Operational Management/Business HR/ Labor Relations/Legal Teams and other SMEs to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality Human Resources support for the company through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses/provisions within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
