Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to provide tactical HR consultation, conduct investigations, and guide on disciplinary actions and terminations. You will analyze data to monitor ER trends and minimize legal risk while partnering with HR and Legal teams.

The role requires experience in HR compliance/employee relations, strong communication, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, organizational management, law or equivalent major; or, additional four (4) years of required experience.
• Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite. Intermediate.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Intermediate.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations.
• Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
• Manage employee relations matters by providing supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
• Partner with Operational Management/Business HR/Labor Relations/Legal Teams and other SMEs to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality HR support through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
