Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years (full-time) experience in industry or public accounting, including experience managing remote teams and with international operations.
• Exceptional accounting and analytical skills; deadline-focused; professional standard of ethics.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop accounting professionals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills; able to create initiatives and manage outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience utilizing technology to meet financial close goals; NetSuite experience highly preferred.
• Candidates must reside in one of the eligible states listed in the posting.

Aufgaben

• Direct the activities of the Accounting Department related to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and deliver complete financial information for statements.
• Develop and enforce financial policies to safeguard assets.
• Manage accounts receivable aging, including billings and cash receipts application, with oversight.
• Oversee disbursements: accounts payable, POs, petty cash, payroll, and tax compliance, with oversight.
• Coordinate accounting activities for HIMSS international offices to ensure GAAP compliance for currency translation and foreign tax liability.
• Lead system enhancements and implementations with third parties (NetSuite, Concur, ADP).
• Plan and direct audit work papers and reconciliations, and provide quality assurance of interim financial information.
• Advise CFO/CEO on accounting policies, financial reporting, and GAAP application.
• Improve the quality and transparency of accounting records and schedules underlying financial reporting.
• Direct fixed asset reporting and inventory processes.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff through training and performance feedback.
