Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) seeks a senior accounting leader to manage the organization’s accounting operations and ensure timely financial close, policy enforcement, and internal controls. This role works with executive management, external auditors, and systems vendors.

You will oversee month-end close, AR/AP, payroll, tax compliance, and currency translation for international units, mentor staff, and drive GAAP compliance and system improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; advanced degree preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum ten years of accounting experience, incl. international ops.
• Experience managing remote teams.
• Strong ethics and deadline-driven.

Aufgaben

• Direct the Accounting Department to close monthly, quarterly, and annual books accurately and on time.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Lead external audits and coordinate with tax filings.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and currency translation controls.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff.
