Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) is seeking a strategic Director of Accounting to lead the accounting operations, ensure timely financial closes, and maintain robust internal controls across domestic and international entities.

The role partners with executive leadership to provide accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement. You will manage external audits, oversee NetSuite and ERP integrations, and drive GAAP-compliant reporting, with a focus on

• 10+ years of accounting experience in industry or public accounting.
• Experience managing remote teams and international operations.
• Strong ethics and deadline-driven mindset.
• Proven ability to mentor accounting professionals.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the Accounting Department for monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring reconciled financial information.
• Develop and enforce policies to safeguard assets and ensure internal controls.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including billing, cash receipts, and merchant processing.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance across entities.
• Manage accounting activities of international offices, including currency translation and foreign tax compliance.
• Lead system enhancements and third-party integrations (NetSuite, Concur, ADP).
• Coordinate audit work papers and reconciliations with external auditors.
