Job summary

Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) seeks a senior accounting leader to drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close, set policies, and oversee global accounting operations. You will collaborate with CFO/CEO and guide internal controls, audits, and external reporting.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting, CPA preferred, and experience with NetSuite; strong mentoring and leadership skills are essential in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Ten (10) years of full-time experience in industry or public accounting.
• Experience managing remote teams and international operations.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, ethics, and analytical skills.
• NetSuite experience highly preferred; Concur and ADP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct accounting department activities for monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and currency translation for international entities.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and related processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax filings.
• Lead system enhancements and implementations with third-party providers.
