Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a Compensation Analyst to design, budget, implement and report on pay policies. You’ll collaborate with HR partners to align market data with business strategy and support compensation structures.

Responsibilities include analyzing market data, guiding salary ranges, administering bonus and merit plans, and helping define job hierarchies. Strong Excel and HRIS skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1 year compensation experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with HR systems.
• Experience with broad-based compensation is strongly preferred.
• Background in accounting or finance is advantageous.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review market data from multiple sources to ensure competitive compensation.
• Collaborate with HR partners to design attractive pay packages.
• Support job hierarchies and define levels within the organization.
• Administer bonus plans aligned with performance goals.
• Support merit and other compensation practices.
