Job summary

HUB International is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join the Employee Benefits Department in our California operations. You will support day-to-day service for employee benefits clients, maintain relationships, and ensure strong carrier partnerships.

This role collaborates with the service team to retain clients and resolve questions efficiently. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in employee benefits within a brokerage, with ACA/COBRA/HIPAA knowledge and a valid license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee benefits/account-service experience in a brokerage environment
• Knowledge of ACA, COBRA and HIPAA
• Currently licensed in good standing
• Able to interact with all levels within the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships with HR Managers/Directors and C-suite executives.
• Develops plans to meet client needs throughout the year.
• Manages the RFP and marketing process.
• Collaborates with Producers in renewal planning.
• Advises clients on compliance matters and ACA requirements.
• Manages open enrollment materials and SBCs for clients.
• Explains carrier renewals and supports client needs during renewal.
• Supports client retention and maintains carrier relationships.
• Resolves claims and coverage issues with HR escalation when needed.
• Creates open enrollment presentations for employees and HR managers.
