Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead growth in Eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey. The role emphasizes identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and shaping win strategies across targeted markets.

You will guide proposals, lead interviews, and coordinate with operations to deliver compelling client value. The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in BD or related roles within A/E/C, strong leadership, and proven ability to drive regional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a business development, seller-do, and/or operations management role in the A/E/C industry
• Experience in winning and/or delivering program, project, and/or construction management projects
• Regional knowledge and relationships in rail & transit, roadway/bridge, water/wastewater, ports, energy, or mission critical markets
• Self-motivated, success oriented, and organized
• Strong ability to lead diverse teams through the entire sales process
• Experience in developing and executing regional growth plans
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Know the local market, clients and competitors
• Travel as needed/expected
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue opportunities; understand Hill’s target markets and services
• Develop client and opportunity strategies; lead win strategy discussions
• Lead proposal and interview preparation; own the proposal process
• Lead team development of presentations and coach presentation teams
• Identify strategic hiring needs and keep recruiters informed
• Maintain client relationships and ensure client needs remain Hill's focus
• Coordinate pricing and contract considerations; support teaming agreements
