Job summary

Hill International, Inc. seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager to expand opportunities in Eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey. You will identify, pursue and win major projects, build client relationships, and coordinate proposals and interviews with Operations and Proposals teams.

The role requires strong leadership to steer go/no-go decisions, develop win strategies, and maintain competitive intelligence across rail, transit, and other markets. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a business development, seller-do, and/or operations management role in the A/E/C industry.
• Experience in winning and/or delivering program, project, and/or construction management projects.
• Regional knowledge and relationships in the rail & transit, roadway/bridge, water/wastewater, ports, energy, or mission critical markets.
• Self-motivated, success oriented and organized.
• Strong ability to lead diverse teams through the entire sales process.
• Experience in developing and executing regional growth plans.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Know the local market, clients and competitors.
• Travel as needed/expected.
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue opportunities aligned with Hill's strategy.
• Develop client and opportunity strategies and lead Go/No Go decisions.
• Lead proposal and interview preparation and coordinate with Operations and Proposals partners.
• Lead team development of presentations and Stress Test?
• Effectively coach presentations teams.
• Identify strategic hiring needs based on targeted opportunities.
• Keep internal recruiters informed of key hire needs.
• Reach out to industry network to help identify strategic hire candidates.
• After winning assignments, serve as internal client advocate.
• Help Hill be sure we stay in touch with client needs.
• Develop client strategies to keep client interests as our primary focus.
