Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Vice President, Business Development to drive growth in Eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and leading pursuit teams to win assignments.

You will lead go/no-go decisions, develop win strategies, coordinate proposals, and mentor internal recruiters for strategic hires, while traveling as needed to advance opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, seller-do, or operations management in A/E/C.
• Experience in winning or delivering program, project, or construction management projects.
• Regional knowledge in rail, transit, roadway/bridge, water, ports, energy, or mission critical markets.
• Strong leadership of diverse teams through the full sales process.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue opportunities aligned with Hill's strategy.
• Establish and maintain positive client relationships through meetings and networking.
• Lead win strategies, go/no-go decisions, and pursuit positioning.
• Lead proposal and interview preparation with Operations and Proposals partners.
• Identify strategic hires and communicate with internal recruiters.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and advocate for client interests.
• Support pricing, contracts, and teaming discussions as needed.
