Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps environments. You will bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer needs, supporting acquisition stakeholders and field-ready demonstrations across diverse environments.

Role requires up to 50% travel with possible remote work depending on location. Collaborate with engineering and BD to validate architectures, support RFI/RFPs, and shape product roadmaps for expeditionary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering or defense tech roles; OR HS diploma with 5+ years experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test are required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with teams to leverage testing and benchmarking data.
• Support BD with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Develop and present demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Conduct market research on partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers.
• Capture field feedback and translate to product roadmap inputs.
