Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Solutions Specialist to connect clients with efficient, tailored logistics solutions. This role blends business-to-business sales, strategic planning, and problem-solving to foster lasting partnerships in a dynamic logistics environment.

The position emphasizes relationship-building with customers, collaboration with operations, and delivering market-leading service while meeting revenue objectives within a defined territory.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of B2B (Business to Business) sales experience or equivalent.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Travel throughout assigned territory to meet customers in person and cultivate relationships with traffic personnel, purchasing agents, production supervisors, sales reps, executives, distributors, and agents who influence routing decisions.
• Keep customers informed of new service points and service improvements.
• Assist customers with rate agreements and submit requests to pricing coordinators via the T-1 Pricing information form.
• Regularly check major accounts to ensure on-time service promises are met.
• Complete monthly activity reports to identify current business levels.
• Provide information on rates and rate changes.
• Submit itineraries weekly for coverage areas to maximize efficiency when visiting customers.
• Maintain positive relationships with drivers and discuss potential leads.
• Communicate customers’ equipment requirements and service hours to operations.
• Inform customers of Speed Service and Expedited capabilities.
• Manage transportation and entertainment expenses in weekly expense reports.
• Keep daily sales calls records and enter them into the system.
• Handle customer complaints through appropriate channels.
• Maintain valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record as described in the posting.
