Job summary

Nuvision Federal Credit Union is seeking an AVP of Collections - Loss Mitigation to lead the team and drive recovery of delinquent loans. The role directs day-to-day operations, ensures compliant handling of charged-off loans, and partners with executive leadership to optimize performance.

The AVP will oversee policy development, risk controls, and staff development while maintaining the credit union’s commitment to member-centric service and strong collections performance.

Qualifications

• Four years of related experience; or a combination of education, experience and training.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Experience in achieving high recoveries to offset gross charge-offs.
• Experience in handling legal, bankruptcy and repossession processes.
• Strong knowledge of collection laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Loss Mitigation team to meet performance goals.
• Monitor and report collections and Loss Mitigation activities, including audits.
• Ensure coverage for inbound/outbound calls in a regional call center.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Build processes to maximize recovery dollars and improve efficiency.
• Prepare and present monthly/weekly/daily collection reports to leadership.
