Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation to lead pursuit and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects. You will drive policy-compliant approvals, coordinate with HDR leadership, legal, and risk, and manage contracts with clients and partners.

You’ll work within HDR’s Transportation Business Group, guiding multi-disciplinary teams, fostering client relationships, and traveling up to half of the time to support programs across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in related field.
• Experience in large transportation infrastructure projects.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Strong client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and risk committees.
• Coordinate with HDR groups, legal, and risk for contract terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with Transportation Group leadership and regional leads on upcoming projects.
• Engage with clients on project plans, teaming agreements, and design/subcontracts.
• Represent HDR in industry associations to elevate visibility.
