Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group. You will lead pursuit and delivery of large civil infrastructure projects, drive policy-compliant approvals, and coordinate with HDR leadership across regions to optimize contractor and client relationships.

You will influence commercial and technical strategies, manage a diverse team, and travel up to 50% to client sites and project offices. HDR values employee ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience in transportation.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) is required for leadership roles.
• Experience leading large classic and Alternative Delivery projects.
• Experience with client relationships and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and risk committee approvals.
• Collaborate with HDR leadership on policy, resources, and contract terms.
• Negotiate terms with HDR Legal and risk teams for AD projects.
• Coordinate with Transportation Leadership on contractor relationships and pursuits.
• Lead HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, market sectors, and business classes.
• Advise leadership on commercial and technical trends in Alternative Delivery.
• Travel up to 50% and engage with multiple locations.
