Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group. You will lead pursuit and delivery of large-scale design-build and public-private partnership projects, coordinating policy, risk, and contractual terms across HDR’s matrixed organization.

You’ll guide client relationships, mentor teams, and drive strategic initiatives while traveling up to 50% of the time to a wide set of HDR locations across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience on large civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading diverse teams and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and risk framework.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group Directors on policy, staffing, and contracts terms.
• Negotiate terms with HDR Legal and risk input for AD projects.
• Coordinate with Transportation Leadership on client discussions and contractor relationships.
• Lead as Principal-in-Charge for selected projects or contracts where appropriate.
