Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corp in Colorado is seeking a Program Manager I to oversee multiple projects, ensuring customer relationships, cost control, scheduling, and technical execution. Responsibilities include tracking progress, reporting performance, and guiding staff toward successful outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 6+ years in aerospace/defense program management, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry.
• 1+ years' experience leading teams made up of 3+ cross functional team members.
• Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes.
• Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
• Experience with contract negotiations, and the difference in contract types.
• Experience with managing multiple projects and/or a small program.
• Experience with being the primary focal for a customer.
• Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
• Ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track status, report on program performance, and manage risks and issues.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful outcomes.
• Serve as primary customer contact and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling duties for the IAS business area.
