Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Plano, TX is seeking a Program Manager I to oversee multiple projects, ensuring customer relationships, cost control, scheduling and technical performance. You will manage programs with budgets up to $20M and coordinate with stakeholders to meet cost, budget, and schedule goals.

The role requires 6+ years in project or program management, ability to lead cross-functional teams, and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, PM, management, engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry.
• 1+ years leading teams made up of 3+ cross functional team members.
• Experience with proposals, quotes and contract negotiations.
• Experience managing multiple projects or a small program.
• Able to be primary focal for a customer.
• Strong financial acumen to ensure fiscally sound decisions.
• Ability to manage program lifecycle and coordinate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all programmatic aspects of multiple assigned projects, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with other corporate entities.
• Formulate and lead a team to fulfill program requirements.
• Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
• Manage program risks and opportunities by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and managing them.
