Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Program Manager II to oversee the integration and management of multiple complex projects and major systems. You will ensure customer relationships, cost control, scheduling, and technical execution while guiding staff and coordinating proposals through contract awards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years in PM within Aerospace/Defense, with 3+ years leading medium-scale programs and teams of 5+ cross-functional members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry.
• 3+ years leading medium scale projects; scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross functional team members.
• Experience with evaluating RFPs/quotes and with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals/quotes.
• Experience in managing a complex project or larger program with risk and cost management.
• Proven leadership, change management, mentoring, and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total Program Integration Management for multiple complex projects and major systems, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Lead proposal tasks from first customer interaction, including requirements, basis of estimates, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Participate in business resource planning and tracking; coordinate audits and stakeholder negotiations.
• Support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling responsibilities for the Business Area.
