Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Sales Consultant to support the sales process with essential administrative duties, CRM upkeep, and revenue-generating activities. The role collaborates with Strategic Accounts and Regional Directors to drive opportunities and customer engagement.

You will update Salesforce, prepare reports, assist with contracts, and help coordinate cross-functional sales activities across multiple time zones. This is a full-time, on-site position in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

BA or BS degree strongly preferred.
At least two years of successful sales (or customer interaction) experience.
Direct sales, marketing or editorial experience.
Experience with digital sales products/applications and Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Responsibilities

Support sales execution and administrative operations.
Maintain CRM data and generate reports to support opportunity analysis and territory planning.
Assist with contract alignment, order processing and billing reviews.
Coordinate content mapping exercises and other customer-specific sales support activities.
Support marketing and sales initiatives related to account development and territory execution.
Communicate with cross-functional teams across time zones and manage multiple tasks.
