Job summary

Cengage Group in San Diego, CA seeks a Sales Consultant to support strategic accounts with administrative sales tasks and Salesforce management.

You will collaborate with the Strategic Accounts Team and Regional Directors to organize content mapping, order processing, billing reviews, and territory coverage, driving customer engagement and revenue growth within the assigned territories.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of successful sales (or customer interaction) experience.
• Experience working with digital sales products/applications and contact management systems, such as Salesforce.
• Direct sales, marketing or editorial experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and support selling strategies in partnership with sales leadership and other sales personnel.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support that enables sales teams to focus on customer engagement and revenue-generating activity.
• Update and maintain Salesforce, including opportunity, account, contact, activity, and territory information as needed.
• Pull and organize CRM and Sales Operations reports to support opportunity analysis, territory planning, forecasting, and follow-up.
• Assist with contract alignment, order processing and review, billing questions or reviews, and related customer or internal follow-through.
• Coordinate effectively with Sales Management, Account Directors, Customer Success, Solutions Specialists, and other cross-functional partners.
• Identify process gaps, customer trends, or recurring needs and communicate recommendations that can improve sales execution or customer support.
