Job summary

Grainger is seeking an Account Manager in Danbury, CT to drive sales across a geographic territory. You will use Grainger's CRM, Salesforce, to manage 30–35 current accounts with potential $2–$3.5M in annual sales and report to the District Sales Manager of Manufacturing.

The role requires 3+ years of outside sales, travel at least monthly, and strong pipeline discipline. Grainger offers a base pay range with incentive opportunities, along with comprehensive benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct outside sales experience.
• Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month.
• Sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning.
• Process discipline and pipeline development to grow market revenue.
• Ability to uncover customer objections and determine solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of market data and resources to respond quickly to developments.
• Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to increase sales and contacts.
• Understand Grainger's Value Proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales.
• Develop account penetration strategies including regular business reviews with essential customers.
